Digi Blessings

I am starting a new adventure and I am so excited. I have been asked to join a creative team at the StitchyBear Stamp Store.
This should be fun and will give me something to do. Having something to do is the exciting part. I haven't had a job in a long long time. Plus, I can do this job in the comfort of my own home. That is even better.
Want to see some of what I have done?

Was playing in PS again and decided to do something for winter.
This is from an old tole painting pattern book, Blessings in a Jar by Chris Thorton.
I use to do a lot of tole painting years ago, and this was one of my favorite patterns.
Now I use photoshop to do all my painting. It is much more forgiving than a paintbrush.
Thanks to the erase and zoom in buttons.

Wow, this year has gone so fast.
Are you ready for the holidays?
I am not.
I love this time of year, but there is so much to do and never enough time!
I am trying to think about Thanksgiving Dinner and what to have, but I just keep making myself hungry.

I finished turning my sketch in to line art. It looks much better now I think.
I also made up the poem in to some word art.
If you would like it just save it to your computer.

I read a poem the other day and really liked it. It was called October Party by George Cooper. It stuck in my head, so while I was sketching today I decided to use it as my inspiration. I could just see a little fairy dancing away on the fall leaves as the wind swirls around her.

I know it's not fancy, but I thought maybe you would like to see what the sketch looked like.

I have been thinking a lot about fairies lately. Not sure why. So I did a few fairy drawings. Maybe if I get time today I will make them digital and post them here to see how they look.

It will give me a good excuse to use PS and make some fancy word art sayings. Not that I need a "good" excuse. Any excuse will do.

Well, off to do my chores so I can get to the fun part.

I like drawing and I think using Photo Shop is just so much fun I spend way to much time playing with it. There is always something new to learn and tons of tutorials around the web.
I use PS mostly to turn my pen and pencil drawings in to digital drawings. I then color them or print them out for other things. Kids like to color them and so do I.

I also like making word art. I have way to many fonts. LOL
When I draw something, I like to add a little saying to go with it. That is how I came up with the name Digi Blessings.

I also found this very easy to use program called Artisteer that makes blog and web pages. It is so addictive I have been know to lose 3 to 4 hours of my day just playing with it. I used it to make this blog for winter. This program is so easy I could change this daily if I wanted to, but I really like this winter one right now. So it will stay around a bit.

Well, I know I am talking to myself, but that is ok, at least I understand.
